About two weeks ago, I put on my first pair of shorts. As you can imagine, it was a beautiful sight. (ha!) Actually, I was deathly pale.
Seriously, I 've seen richer, deeper coloring on boiled chicken.
If you're like me, and you don't like to tan (or don't have time), then self-tanner is the way to go. These new tanners are in no way like that orangey, oompa-loompa looking stuff from the 80's and 90's. This looks natural, and it's easy to apply.
One note -- It does take several applications to show.
