It's Not Easy Being a Vampire...
I think I'm part vampire. I don't know what it is about me, but around 8:00 p.m. every night (no matter how tired I was during the day), I just seem to come alive. It is so frustrating.
Last night, I took a couple of sleeping pills around 10:00 p.m. since I was, of course, not tired. I settle into bed after a while to delve into another journey with Bret Michaels to find his true love. Then, I watch the Charm School Reunion. By this time, it's 2:00 a.m. I turn off the tv, toss, turn, toss some more, turn some more, and I believe I finally fall asleep sometime around 4:00.
And now...I'm tired...again... You know, this only happens at my home. It didn't happen at my parent's. Weird. Any insight for me?
Anyway, the children are home on their final day of Christmas vacation, so there's no rest in sight. But, don't worry, come nightfall I will be up and ready to party.
Time for another cup of coffee.

How frustrating! I don't generally have a problem with this - but every once in a while I do have a bout of insomnia. And who has tiem to take a nap during the day!
Sounds to me like you may have some things on your mind. It's hard to wind down when you can't stop thinking.
Try reading in bed. If your eyes get tired, maybe the rest of you will follow suit.
