As you probably know, this isn't just the Christmas season...it's time for Hanukkah, too. (It begins sundown tonight.) I have a Christmas tree on my site and in my home, but I have been learning more and more about Hanukkah. Personally, I think if you celebrate Christmas, then it would benefit you to learn about Hanukkah as well.
Did you know that without Hanukkah there would be no Christmas? It's true.
Visit Torah Tots and learn the basics. I know it's a children's site, but it really breaks it down.
By the way, did you know -"It is customary that women do no housework for the first half hour that the Chanukah lights are burning". Hmm...just thought I'd throw that in there.
