Please keep in mind that I am the world's worst pancake maker, so maybe that has a small part in all this. However, my husband makes great pancakes, and he hated the stuff, too.
This product has been on sale at Publix the past week -buy one, get one, so I thought I'd try it. All you do is shake the can (it's like reddi-whip for pancakes), and spray it onto a greased skillet. It says on the can to cook the pancakes at med-high. If you do this you will burn them. No...correction...you will burn the outside and leave the inside doughy and mushy. Yum.
Medium heat is the best, but it still leaves the inside undone. Which is amazing considering how this stuff thins out on the skillet.
And finally, the taste is ...ehh.
But, hey, if you want to try it, then go ahead. Someone obviously likes the stuff or it would have never been patented.
If you've used it, and it's turned out for you, then please(!) let me know. Especially let me know, if you've made pancakes from it that ends up looking like the pancakes on the can. If so, you must be a culinary genius, and I would really like to get to know you.
