Halloween is over, and we now have about 20 lbs of candy around here. That, of course, will translate to 30 extra lbs on me even if I only show enough retraint for two or three pieces per day. Ok...who am I kidding? I don't have the restraint for two or three pieces per day....maybe two or three pieces per hour...(sigh)...
The kids had fun. My son was practically running from house to house all the while yelling at me,"Hurry up...you're slowing me down!" Have you ever tried to jog while carrying a fidgety 25-lb toddler and her ghost-shaped bag full of candy?! There is no chance of jogging, running or even walking fast. I was lucky to get from one house to another without calling for help.
My daughter caught on quickly to the whole idea of trick-or-treating. At first, she was trying to swing open everyone's door and get inside. Then, she realized if she just stood there and waited, someone would whip out a giant bowl of candy for her to choose from. Every single time she saw all that candy, her eyes would pop out of her head and she would stand there and shake from sheer joy. It was really a sight to behold.

I had to giggle at the thought of your daughter "rushing in" to the homes for candy :)
What cute memories you'll always have!
They do and say some of the funniest things. I can't keep up with they do!:-)
