Paper or Plastic

Oh, I finally went to the store today. What a treat that was. I can't believe there was a time when I actually enjoyed going to the store. Now, it's just another chore that needs to get done.

I guess it's just so sad to see how expensive everything is. Kroger wanted $1.99 for 64 oz. of their apple juice. Last year, they just wanted $1.00. And, what's worse, they're saying the $1.99 is a SALE price! It's not just Kroger...it's not even just the grocery store...it's everywhere. And for someone who makes a small amount of money (thanks to my surveys), and whose main job is to SAVE money, this is really posing a problem. But, what can you do? Use coupons, buy things on sale and suck it up. That's pretty much it.

I also had one annoying thing happen. I'm at the meat counter just looking around mentally sighing over the prices. There was an employee there who was putting a few things away. I walked toward him, then around him...he never even looked up. No big deal. All of a sudden I hear him say "How are you today, sir?" to some man that had walked up to the ground beef seconds after I left. Wow. So happy I wore my invisibility cloak today. That kind of stuff happens to me ALL THE TIME. I would love to know why. Do I look mean?...or scary?...or dangerous?...I don't know. I'd like a little insight on this, though.

Before I left the store, I did accidentally find $7 that I must have left in my jacket from last year. That did help me feel a little better.
