Mmmm... Hot Chocolate...

Speaking of Starbucks, I went there today. I'm constantly earning Starbucks gift cards through doing my online surveys, so I don't feel guilty about paying so much for their treats. I used a card today for one of their salted caramel hot chocolates. They are really, really delicious!

I went through the drive-thru today with my daughter who was throwing a fit in the backseat. She thinks that whenever I go through a drive-thru, that she gets french fries. It's like the story of Pavlov's dog --whenever the dog would hear a bell ring, it would drool. Whenever she sees a drive-thru window, she screams... for fries. (sigh) Anyway...

The people at Starbucks either took pity on her or me (or both of us) and gave me three free samples of pumpkin cheesecake muffins to give her. (They were good- I snuck a bite.) And they gave me a free sample of the iced salted caramel hot chocolate. Yum! And that, so far, has been the highlight of my day.

The rest of the day has been my daughter fussing and me trying to appease her. We didn't make it to the grocery store. She was just too insane. After the bank, we went to the dollar store for a few minutes. She wasn't happy. The woman at the counter gave her a balloon, then she was thrilled. I was able to have a few moments of peace.

Then, I stopped into Kmart for two things, and I swear people probably thought the fire alarm was going off. That's how loud and annoying she was. I rushed in (didn't even grab a cart) and got what I needed as fast as I could. I had to shake a carton of tic tacs at her in line in order to get her to behave.

So, now she's home and napping. Hooray. Maybe I can grab a bite to eat before I have to wake Her Majesty to go pick up her brother from school. It never ends...it never ends...
