Just Another Embarrassing Moment

This morning has been a little hectic. On the way to a room mom meeting, I was held hostage by my garage door.

Basically, the batteries in my garage door opener aren't working so great. I practically have to be under the garage door for it to work. Lately, I've been braking with my hood under the door, then pressing for the button to go down. Oh, and also I have to have my car door open for it to work, too. So, I was in my place, opened the car door, went to back out, and somehow wedged my door between a small tree beside our house. The garage door was completely down, and I couldn't open my side door enough for it to open back up, so I could pull forward and get my side door unstuck. Basically, I was trapped.

I ended up having to keep pulling up until I hit the garage door with my car and could slip my arm threw the car door so the garage opener would work. And now, thinking back, I should have just slipped through the door on the passenger side, opened the garage door, gotten back into my car, unstuck my side door, then pulled forward to a better angle and tried it all over again. Oh, well. Never mind, the trauma is over. I'm sure it gave the neighbors something to laugh about. (rolling eyes)
