Early, early this morning, I had one of those crazy dreams that turn into some sort of scary, live-action experience. I was dreaming that my daughter was in bed beside me and was kicking me. I went to turn her around so that her feet were pointed toward the bottom of the bed, and I couldn't find her anymore. I sit up, frantically, on the bed throwing blankets around, and then, suddenly, I completely lose it. I have now convinced myself that I'm sitting on top of her. I jump out of bed and turn on the light as fast as I can. I sat there dumbfounded for a few seconds until, thankfully, I start to pull out of this psychotic episode. "Oh, yeah", I say to myself, "my daughter is asleep...in her room." Magically, I'm able to roll over and go back to sleep. It's a gift.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, my husband is already up and blissfully unaware of my latest freakout. He has seen his share. You can bet on that.
So, I vow once again to never, ever, ever eat half a bag of Hershey Kisses before bed. I'm sure that promise will stick THIS TIME...yeah...THIS TIME is different... (eye roll)
