Anyone Want to Babysit?

(Sigh)...today...has been one of those days. I feel as if the last few hours have lasted weeks. My daughter has been a toddler mess. She's hormonal...I'm hormonal...bad match.

I've pulled her out of the trash in four different rooms today (I swear I was watching her -she's fast!). I've caught her just before she's opened the potty lid. She's knocked my little shelves out of my jewelry case (with jewelry falling everywhere). She's spilled juice and food directly onto my head. She's almost emptied a huge bag of cotton swabs (only about half actually fell onto the bathroom floor). And she's attempted to wrap herself up like a mummy with the toilet paper. This has all happened in a matter of three hours. Plus - the screaming, the melting down, and (what I dread most of all) that horrible boneless toddler move that they all seem to know.

My meeting was cancelled this morning, so, as it turns out, I didn't need to make an attempt on my hair or makeup today. It's been pouring the rain down since around 10 a.m., so I didn't want to drag my daughter out anywhere. So, we've just been stuck here...with each other. Normally, that's a great thing, but today...today has just been hard. And...AND...I have over five hours until my husband gets home. So, after I pick up my son from school, we'll all be stuck here...together...with just each other... I hope he's in a good mood. One of us should be.
